Rabbi David
Rosenthal was born and raised in Manalapan, NJ where he attended Congregation
Sons of Israel. After graduating from Manalapan High School, he studied at
Yeshivat Shaarei Mevaseret Zion and Derech Hatalmud in Israel followed
by an 11 year stay at Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore, where he was
ordained a rabbi, enjoyed an especially close relationship with Harav Aharon
Feldman shlit”a, earned a PhD in Talmudic Law and a degree from The Johns
Hopkins University. Upon returning to
Manalapan, he began studying at the Kollel of Manalapan, taught popular classes,
and founded the Manalapan Jewish Connection.
He teaches at Yeshivas Maishiv Nafesh in Lakewood and was also a beloved rebbe at Shalom Torah Academy where he initiated
many educational programs. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, hiking, reading,
and writing. He is the author of Wired for Disaster How Technology is Ruining our Happiness
and Destroying our Minds, Why Open Orthodoxy Is Not Orthodox, and numerous
